There was a village in the middle of nowhere that seems impossible to find. The village was abandoned by people who live in there. The buildings were all torn up and destroyed. All the roads were crushed and have crack on it. Everything was destroyed and lifeless. Even the sun was lifeless and it glared upon the abandoned village. Upon those destruction, still, there's a house that stood still and was full of life. It's the house of Medusa, but still, no one's home.

An old oak broom stick was flying into the air and a woman was riding on it. Is it a witch or what. Even though they were flying, it seems that she don't move an inch, she's just like the sun, she just glared into the abandoned village with no reaction or anything.

Finally, the broomstick and the woman moved, and they flew towards the entrance of the village. She landed on the ground safely and smoothly. She grab her broom stick, and suddenly, it disappeared. The woman has two snake tattoo on his both arms and she was wearing a black cotton sleeveless jacket with hood. The hood covered her eyes, which protect her identity. The woman look at the village and smiled.

To the look of the woman, it seems that this village was her former hometown when it was not destroyed. The look of the woman was strange, and it looks familiar. Finally, she revealed herself by removing the hood that covered her eyes.

It was Medusa Gorgon.........

A silhouette emerged from nothingness, projecting two persons of different forms. One had an obvious long flowing cloak that gently swayed down her back, her hair tied up separately into pigtails, and she walked formally, with good posture and stance, not a single hesitation and second thoughts. The other one was obviously a guy, his arms folded, two hands resting behind his head, and he was quite leaning backward while walking, almost dragging his feet in boredom. Soft sounds of two pairs of footsteps could be heard, as their existence were slowly revealed.

Every single step seemed eternity as her feet moved forward, her clothes billowed behind her though the wind was absent, and beside her was her trustworthy companion. The environment was lifeless, and the weather was as well - never her favourite situation. She wandered her gaze around the abandoned village, no sign of prosperity and hope - perfect. It was the perfect battlefield for explosions and destruction.

Meanwhile, he was bored. Walking with her like this was worse than having to travel on air for fifteen hours. He had always hated walking, and despite the fact that he offered to just transform and be carried, the meister insisted to walk. According to her, the first one to move will also be the last one to breathe.

"Ei Maka! Are you even sure she's here?" Soul Eater Evans spoke first, his tone as lazy and bored as as lifeless. He scanned the area. Creepy. He wasn't affected anyway, but the fact that he had sacrificed hunting for souls for this made - him pretty irritated.

Maka Albarn, the teenage girl along side with the bored guy replied with just as emotionless as him. "I reckon. I'm not exactly sure though, but this is Medusa's former hometown anyway. Where else could she go?"

They continued walking, anticipating any surprise attack from her. The witch was tricky, and she had plenty of plans up her sleeves. And as they reached the center of town, they halted, waiting for her to take the first move. Her emerald eyes shone with alertness while his ebony orbs glowed with anticipation and excitement.

IC:

Medusa was walking down gently to her hometown, she's a relatively tall woman with an average physical build, and a large dotted snake tattoo winding down either arm. Her facial features consist of eyes containing yellow irises and black pupils, and blonde hair arranged in a spiked style, with two prominent spike extending downwards framing either side of her face, that twist to entwine each other so as to rest upon her chest. She's notably walking barefooted with unique toenail polish that is black featuring yellow arrows pointing upwards.

She entered the abandoned village with full confidence carrying upon her. She gently deactivated her soul protect while walking, and revealed that she had a huge enormous ball shape soul within her. She began walking and glared at the village. She soon found out that Maka and her loyal weapon soul was here on the town.

Finally, she found them standing on the street like a lifeless statue. The clouds began to move around the sky and totally covered sun.

Medusa began to chant her ever spell " Nake, Snake, Cobra, Cobubra " Medusa gently murmured while her head was down like she was looking something beneath her.

Her senses were all aware, even a tiny soft disturbance made her adjust. The weather was even making this worse for her, as she could feel a faint stinging pain on her chest. Fear. The number one student of Shibusen, though acting tough and full of authority, had her greatest weakness as fear. If it weren't for Soul who had always been accompanying and encouraging her to fight, she have been long gone by now with all the battles she had fought.

The clouds rumbled, and moved swiftly, hiding the sun behind it. Darkness. She never thought this lifeless village could even get more lifeless - and now that it was even dark and cold, the atmosphere gave her discomfort. However, she felt a slap at the back of her head. It was Soul.

"Don't get all scared, scaredy-cat." he flashed his wide grin, his teeth resembling small fangs. She smiled, then sighed, calming herself. Once again, it was Soul who gave her courage.

She narrowed her eyes as she felt the resonating aura far from them. It looked like Medusa had underestimated her capabilities. She was, after all, the number one student of Shibusen, and possesses capabilities no other meisters had: the ability of perception. She scanned the area, not moving her head, only her eyes, as not to give Medusa the clue that she had already realized she was there. But as she looked, she couldn't spot her. Of course she couldn't. Medusa was not dumb to reveal herself that easily.

Then, she got her chance as she heard the faint voice. "Nake..." and the very time she heard this, she closed her eyes, and used her ability of perception. The ability to see the whole geography of a nearby place, and to be able to see the available souls in the given area. She saw it, the boxes and squares which represented the houses, the two small circular lights - Soul's and her own soul - and finally, an isolated circular light, located not too far behind them. It happened to fast that the very time she opened her eyes, she heard the third word of the chant. "Cobra..."

And before Medusa could even utter the last word, she turned around, bent her legs, and launched forward while Soul laughed a soft chuckle, and also sped towards Medusa.

"Cobubra"

They appeared in front of her, and both delivered a high kick towards the either side of her face. Maka on the left, and Soul on the right.

" STEAM VECTOR " Shouted Medusa as the two appeared on both sides of her

Numerous intertwining Vector Arrows, projected upwards from the ground, resulting in a spinning physical shield, protecting her from the both of the attacks initiated by Maka and Soul. It is said that this shield was capable of preventing or limiting the effects of powerful attacks. The powerful kicks seems to be useless to the shield of Medusa, both of them was thrown away because of what happened and separating them, since Maka was on left, and Soul was on right. It seems that Medusa was not yet contented to what she has done.

" COMPRESSED" Medusa quickly commanded as she tightly closed one of her hands. The remaining vectors proceed and surround both of them immediately. This not only has the effect of physically restraining the target but also crushing them, as the "vectors" continually increased their constrictive force, until eventually compacting into a single dense black sphere. Traping both Soul and Maka at each diraction. One single command and that two black sphere will crush them both at the same time.

OOC: We're directly in front of you, not beside you, and we only kicked you on either side of your face, but we're still side by side with each other, directly in front of you.

IC:
To both of their astonishment and disappointment, their kicks didn't land on her face as a small tornado-like black arrows emerged from Medusa, shielding her from their attacks. Furthermore, it repelled both of them, and Maka felt a powerful surge of force pushing her away from Medusa.

"Soul!" she called out, beckoning a move. He then nodded, also feeling the pressure of the Steam Vector, and he transformed into his scythe form. A traditional scythe, a zigzag pattern ran across the blade, dividing the colour of the blade into red and black, and the stem a normal well-polished pitch-black steel rod which extended a bit longer than Maka herself. The part where the stem and the blade connect has an intricate-designed red eye. (See siggy for appearance)

Immediately as Soul transformed, Maka grabbed him with both hands, letting herself be pushed for a couple of inches, and as she got a hold of the scythe, she stuck the edge of the stem on the ground, and the scythe acted as a support of preventing her to be thrown away. With both her hands on the scythe, she lifted both feet off the ground, the scythe as support, and kicked Medusa with both feet, penetrating through her Steam Vector since the arrow shields were now slowly going off.

IC:

Running out of time, chanting and performing spells that would protect her, was impossible as you can see. It is test of gamble and risk, choosing something that is correct and choosing something that will lead you to the greatest danger. Only chance of avoiding is 30 percent while the 70 percent left, was taking the strong full kick from the opponent. Into this happening, time is precious, every second counts. Medusa was thinking, thinking, thinking hard, analyzing the equation that had been made. Trusting her instincts and reflexes, was quite a good decision after all, however, even a person that has the greatest reflexes wouldn't even dodge a kick like that. Time had already been wasted, doing any necessary act was too late for her.

Following where her reflexes will lead to, besides, it's the only thing she can do at this kind of situation, using every force and every single drop of speed in her body. Turning left, turning right, duck, jump and dodging it using every part of the body were her only choices. Swiftly turning to her right, hoping she could evade it. Catching luck was quite an exception for her, in the end, the kick fully managed to hit her directly in the stomach, sending her flying into the air out of force. Looks like misfortune was always on her side, ready to cheer with her every battles. She automatically landed into the ground as it should be. She rubbed the drip of blood flowing into her mouth. She stood up as calm as always and smiled weirdly like as if nothing happen.
